RWB at RSPCA dog show
Ten members of RWB - "Redland Wind Ensemble?" - entertained visitors to the RSPCA's dog show at the Ashton Court estate on 20 September. Great weather and high class dogs. Among our programme were two pieces especially arranged for this small group, "Great Scott, it's Ragtime" and "Go Down Moses" by Dorset composer Matt Kingston.

RWB at Musical Marathon and Blaise Castle
Redland Wind Band were among the players at the "musical marathon" held at St Paul's Church in Clifton on 13 June. The event was in aid of the music therapy charity Music Space, and the church itself which is in need of a new piano. A total of £1300 net was raised - though not entirely through our efforts. The day after, we played our first concert at Blaise Castle, under a blazing sun in the garden amphitheatre. A great effort by all.

RWB at National Concert Band Festival
Redland Wind Band took part in the south west section of the National Concert Band Festival in Chepstow on 30 November. We gained a bronze award but many aspects of our performance got a silver and the comments of the adjudicators were generally very positive with many commendations for the soloists. RWB members can listen to the recording of the adjudicator's comments in the members' section.
